What is mastering?
Audio mastering is the process of equalizing, compressing, boosting, widening, and generally enhancing an audio recording. It transforms an album from a collection of songs into a cohesive splendor of aural pleasure.
What kind of equipment do you use?
For mastering, I use Pro Tools LE 7.0 and iZotope Ozone mastering plug-in (http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/ozone). On occasion I use other miscellaneous EQs and compressors when they seem fitting.
How much does it cost?
I charge $89 for an entire album (up to 60 minutes), or $10 per song. This includes personal customer service--if you have any specific requests or are unhappy with the way anything sounds, I'll re-do it for free! If you look at other mastering service's rates, you'll find they charge $400+ for one album! I accept paypal, personal checks, and money orders.
How long will it take?
Depending on how busy I am, I will have your project done from 2 to 6 days after I receive your audio files. If you need something done in a hurry we can work it out.
How does it work?
You send me your final mixed .wav files (either by mailing me a CD or via the internet) and I make them sound sweet!
